LANGUAGES Workshops at the ESI are held in German and English. International workshops marked with “INT” are held in English.
 
TRAVEL, ACCOMMODATION When participation in a workshop has been confirmed, you will be supplied with further information and recommendations regarding travel and nearby hotels. Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
 
CERTIFICATE Upon completion of each workshop, certificates are issued to confirm participation. Certificates will be only handed out on completion of the workshop. A written confirmation for tax purposes is also issued. The certificates are not a means of certifying surgical skills and do not entitle the participant to practice videoscopic techniques on a patient.
 
REGISTRATION For your application please use the registration fax which is included in the booklet and state precisely the workshop in which you wish to participate. You may send your application by fax or e-mail, or register via the Internet http://www.esi-online.de.
 
CLOSING DATE To guarantee a perfect organization of the workshop, we ask you to register in good time. Your registration can only be taken into account when received not later than 14 days prior to the event. Should a workshop already be fully booked, we are pleased to consider you on the waiting list.
 
CANCELLATION RIGHT The European Surgical Institute reserves the right to cancel planned workshops even at short notice, in particular if the minimum number of participants has not been reached, or other essential conditions for the workshop change. If a trainer cannot take a workshop because of other commitments or illness, another member of the European Faculty will substitute for him/her. In the event of cancellation, all paid fees will be refuned. This precludes any other claims.
 
CONDITIONS OF WITHDRAWAL Your registration is binding and obliges you to pay the workshop fee. If a booking is cancelled after the registration confirmation has already been received, the fee does not have to be paid if the registration cancellation is received at the latest four weeks before the workshop date. 50% of the fee will be charged for cancellations received at the latest two weeks before the workshop date. 80% of the fee will be charged if the cancellation is received less than two weeks before the workshop date or if the participant fails to arrive. No fee will be charged in the case of cancellations when another participant is named for the workshop resulting in a substitute contract for attending the workshop.
 
DATA ACQUISITION On submitting your registration form, you agree to your personal data being saved for internal event management and later participation information purposes.
 
GENERAL INFORMATION Wet Lab(1) - during the wet lab sessions we use Isoflurane and nitrous oxide for anesthesia.
