Facilities

WET LABS The ESI's operating rooms, the so-called wet labs, offer an optimal opportunity for surgeons to build upon their experience in the dry labs by taking the learning process one step further. The three state-of-the-art wet labs allow for realistic training employing up to twelve working stations for two to three surgeons at each station. Various operative techniques from close to all surgical fields can be trained using endoscopic and conventional methods. In addition, interventional cardiology procedures can be performed by electrophysiologists and cardiologists.

Due to the modular construction of the wet labs and the cooperation received from other companies, the ESI can present a flexible and up-to-date arrangement and outfitting of technical equipment.

To supplement the training in the wet labs, live transmissions from or to operating facilities or conference rooms around the world are possible which allow for interaction between surgeons and an exchange of ideas and clinical practice.
